New Wizards of the Coast status: Advanced Magic The Gathering Store!
Since our opening in 2013, the community has rallied behind us in every way. We have seen growth in almost every genre of gaming, and Magic The Gathering is no exception. We have recently received Advanced status, which up until GAMA this past March, was the highest status a store could achieve in the Wizards of the Coast universe. The benefits from obtaining this store level will be noticed starting next month. Each Friday Night Magic, (or FNM) we will receive double the promo cards. This allows us to run both a standard and a modern tournament on Friday night, AND have promotional cards to hand out on each bracket. In fact, on all events we will receive double the promo items, such as receiving two Game Day Playmats to support separate tournaments. Why is this important? Despite having such a great turn out for the Born of The Gods Playmat, there were several people unable to show up because of scheduling conflicts. Do you and your friends play at another store? Didn’t win or want a chance to win another playmat? Now, none of these things are an issue any longer! Attend the events at another store and then visit us on the off day. The fun does not stop there! With our new status, we have access to WPN Premium Tournaments, Magic Grand Prix Trials, WPN Championship Qualifiers and additional From the Vault products. We will be announcing a yearly schedule for these events soon AND due to our EXPLOSIVE growth we will be expanding into a new building behind the current store in the same plaza we share with Quality Home Locator, Bradshaw Consulting, Inc., and Wilhoit Accounting and Tax Service. This is truly a great moment for Decatur gamers!
