Last Week in Review at The Hidden Lair
Last week was a great snapshot of what makes our community special: hobby time, competitive play, new systems hitting the table, and plenty of laughs along the way. From paint sampling to packed tournaments, here is a look back at everything that went down.
Hobby Tuesday: Paint, Progress, and P3

Hobby Tuesday gave everyone a chance to slow things down and work on projects together. We spent time sampling P3 paints, giving painters hands-on experience with the range and seeing how they perform across different styles and models. From smooth blends to bold basecoats, it was great seeing painters experiment and share tips across the tables.
Alongside the painting, Hobby Tuesday also featured a Kill Team match, keeping the night balanced between creative progress and tactical gameplay. It was a solid mix of brushes moving and dice rolling, exactly how a good hobby night should feel.
Sunday, 2/8: A Packed Day of Events

Sunday delivered one of the busiest and most varied days we have had in a while.
We hosted an Age of Sigmar tournament consisting of three rounds, bringing strong lists, focused play, and great sportsmanship across the board. Games were competitive but friendly, and the event ran smoothly from start to finish.
At the same time, we held a Riftbound prerelease, also running three rounds. Players got their first real taste of the format in an event setting, and the energy stayed high throughout the day as people explored new cards and interactions.

Warhammer 40,000 also had its moment with a 2v2, 2,000-point match featuring Salamanders and Tyranids teaming up against Imperial Knights and Grey Knights. The game was cinematic, chaotic, and exactly the kind of large-scale clash that makes team formats so fun to watch and play.

Community Moments That Make the Week
No week would be complete without a bit of personality, and one of our customers provided just that with a great sense of humor that kept people laughing throughout the day. Those moments of fun and camaraderie are just as important as the games themselves and are a big part of what keeps our space welcoming.
Looking Ahead
Last week was a perfect example of how diverse our calendar has become: hobby nights, skirmish games, card battles, tournaments, and narrative-heavy matches all sharing the same space. Thank you to everyone who showed up, played, painted, competed, and laughed with us. We are looking forward to another strong week ahead.
